bigsbys folly
is a unique craft-winery, restaurant, and event venue located at 3563 Wazee Street in Denver’s creative RiNo Art District just 5 minutes from the ETHDenver Conference venue. Housed in a restored 1886 building, the space blends historic charm with modern hospitality: soaring 30-foot ceilings, original brick walls, and grand 10-foot chandeliers give the venue a dramatic, timeless atmosphere.
What started as a dream to bring “wine country to the city” has grown into a fully functioning urban winery. Bigsby’s sources premium grapes from top vineyards, with wines crafted under the guidance of an experienced winemaker who draws on Old-World traditions and New-World flair.
Inside, Bigsby offers a full kitchen, a well-stocked bar (wine, beer, cocktails), and multiple dining/ event spaces. Its flexible layout — with roughly 7,000 sq ft indoors and a charming courtyard garden — makes it suitable for everything from intimate dinners to large gatherings of up to 400 guests.
Beyond regular dining, Bigsby welcomes an array of private and public events: weddings, receptions, corporate meetups, cocktail hours, tastings, and more — all supported by in-house catering, bar service, and event planning.
The vibe at Bigsby is warm and unpretentious: though it produces its own wines with care and precision, the ethos remains inviting and accessible — bringing “the soul of wine country” into the heart of Denver without any pretension.
